Alderwoman Classie G. Hoyle
Alderwoman, Ward Three
Dr. Classie G. Hoyle (D)
Dr. Classie G. Hoyle was reelected in a 2 to 1 victory to serve
another term on the Annapolis City Council. By the completion of her
first term, Alderwoman Hoyle had sponsored or co-sponsored more than 20
successful pieces of legislation. Among those of which she is most
proud are ordinances to repeal the Voter ID Bill, a Charter amendment
to title council members in a gender specific manner, and to require
moderately priced dwelling units (MPDU) in new residential development.
The two top priorities of Alderwoman Hoyle have been fulfilled:
legislation for MPDUs and the completion of sidewalks on old Forest
Drive. The project she hopes will be the legacy of this term is the
creation of permanent history markers of the Parole area that will
showcase its heritage. Classie and her husband Daniel of 50 years have
a son, daughter, six granddaughters and a great grandson. Classie
believes that God directs her steps. She is committed to serving the
citizens of Annapolis. Her favorite motto is, "Let the Works I've Done
Speak for me."
