Annapolis Transit ID & Door-to-Door Programs

Are you over 60? Disabled? Or on Medicare?

If you are a senior 60 and older with an approved ID card or if you are physically challenged with an approved ID card, you can ride the Annapolis Transit fixed route for half-fare. If you would like door to door service, you must call 410-263-7964 to register and schedule your ride 24 hours in advance with the transportation office. The fee for door to door service is double the regular each way and if you have someone traveling with you the also would have to pay double the regular fare.

 

Seniors who do not have a photo ID can obtain one at 308 Chinquapin Round Road, Annapolis, Maryland 21401 on Wednesday 10:00am -12:00 noon and 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Disabled persons must obtain an application form from the transportation department or the web site at http://www.ci.annapolis.md.us/Government/FormsAndPermits.aspx and have the application signed by a physician.

 

If you:     

Meet ADA eligibility requirements AND live within ¾ mile of an Annapolis Transit route.

The ADA door-to-door service fee is double the standard fare and you must make a reservation at least one day in advance.

Travel to Anne Arundel Medical Center via Annapolis Transit's Red, Gold and the Purple line after 7:00 pm and all day sunday.   Other low-cost options available

A.A. County Department of Aging

The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging "Van Transportation Program" serves County seniors, 55 and over, or disabled persons, 18 and over. Wheelchair disability transportation is available. A caretaker is permitted to ride along. There is no charge for this service, however, donations are welcome. Advance scheduling is required. For more information call (410) 222-4826.

The Department of Aging offers a "Handy Cab Program" which provides discount coupons for taxi services for County residents, 55 or older, and persons with disabilities, 18 or older, who meet income eligibility guidelines. Call (410) 222-4222, for more information or visit http://www.aa-aging.org/.
