In this edition of the Mayor's Video Update, Mayor Cohen talks about good news on the economic development front and how an effort to support Annapolis business changed the amount residents will pay for monthly parking at two area garages effective November 1.
Also in the video is information on the dedication of the Ellen O. Moyer Nature Park at Back Creek, and the first of two cutting-edge hybrid boats helping to save the Bay while saving the City money.
The Public Works Department Leaf Vacuum Schedule is on the City Website. Please note that it is weather dependent and not available for all residents in Ward 1.

In November, the City of Annapolis observes two holidays: Veterans’ Day and Thanksgiving. In addition to the holidays, there will be two furlough days, each just prior or just after the holiday. This will cut down on your services. Please refer to your online schedule.

Free Workshop Helps Local Businesses Go Green
As part of his Clean and Green City initiative, Mayor Joshua J. Cohen is proud to announce a free workshop that will help local businesses become part of the only known municipal environmental stewardship certification and verification program in the country.
The City’s Department of Neighborhood and Environmental Programs (DNEP) will be holding its Annapolis Environmental Stewardship Certification Workshop, teaching environmental best management practices to businesses on Tuesday, November 29.
Help Light Up Annapolis!
November 10th, 6-10pm. the Annapolis Business Association (ABA) is asking for your support to decorate downtown Annapolis for the Holidays. Held at the Loew's Annapolis Hotel, this fun event offers samplings from about 20 different restaurants in town. Tickets are $75 each or a table of 8 for $500.

Phase II of the Clay Street Redevelopment Project Getting Underway
Phase II of a three-phase Clay Street redevelopment project will begin Monday, October 31.
The demolition of Obery Court and College Creek Terrace will begin at 10:00 a.m. on the Corner of Bertina Nick Way and New Vernon Street in front of building D.

Temporary Residential Parking Permit Application available online under the Finance Department.
A fill-in-able application for temporary residential parking permits is now on our forms page. This is for One Day passes (individual or ten-packs) and Multi-Day passes for pre-determined dates such as medical needs or car repairs.
