Inclement Weather Closings:

All Anne Arundel County Public Schools are closed and all Child Care and After School activities are canceled.
City administrative offices are closed on Tuesday, however, we will open the Truxtun Park Rec Center with limited hours tomorrow. TPRC will open from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Ballocity will be open from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. All other programs and classes will be canceled.
As part of the administration’s budget review, Mayor Cohen has suspended the publication of the Annapolis city magazine. However, he wants to get your imput about the magazine's future. The magazine, which is published three times a year, costs the city $80,000 to produce. It highlights major city initiatives, ranging from crime prevention and transit to Recreation and Parks activities. This magazine includes the Program Guide of classes and events for the Annapolis Recreation and Parks Department. We invite you to share your thoughts on the value of keeping this city-run publication. Should the city stay the course, do away with it entirely, or publish it exclusively online? Daddy Daughter Dance -- Friday, February 12th, 6:45 - 8:30 p.m., TPRC Meeting Rooms -- Little girls, ages 3-10, can spend a memorable evening with their special guy -- DAD! Enjoy a night filled with entertainment, dancing, refreshments and fun. A special keepsake will be given to each couple. Advance registration is required. Resident $25 per pair, Non-Resident $29 per pair, additional child $15.
The new Truxtun Park Recreation Center (TPRC) is located at 273 Hilltop Lane -- An 80,000 sq. ft. facility that features an indoor walking/jogging track, a three full-court gymnasium, 3,000 sq. ft. fitness center with cardiovascular, free weights and plate-loaded fitness equipment, a rock climbing wall, Kidz Zone babysitting, indoor Ballocity™ playspace and more! The Annapolis Recreation and Parks Department recently received two $10,000 donations from TeleCommunications Systems, Inc. (TCS) to support the recreation programs of the Stanton Community Center and scholarships for the Truxtun Park Recreation Center. We would like to thank TCS President & CEO Maurice B. Tosé for his continued commitment of providing financial support for these initiatives. TCS is headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland.
