Street Cleaning is one of the most visible aspects of the Public Works Department, for the citizens, visitors, and business owners. This program keeps our City clean and safe by removing dirt, metals, chemicals, trash that regularly collect on our streets, gutters, and sidewalks. Reducing the amount of debris on the street area prevents material from entering the storm drain system reducing pollutants from entering the Waters of the State.
Residents should follow these Guidelines to prepare for sweeping:
Avoid parking vehicles, boats or trailers on street
Do not rake, sweep or blow leaves or other debris in the street or curb line
Remove portable basketball hoops from curb line as well as toys
Do not leave garbage, recycling, or yard waste bins in street or curb line.
Cut back trees and shrubs so they do not block sweeper from reaching curb line
Pick up any sticks, branches, long twigs out of street and curb line
