Annapolis Police Department, Annapolis Fire Department and the Office of Emergency Management are coordinating with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to ensure public safety in the event of demonstrations in or near the Maryland State Capital between January 17 and 20.

BACKGROUND: At this time (1/13/21), there are no specific threat indicators in Annapolis or Anne Arundel County. Intelligence is being openly shared among the agencies throughout the region on a 24-hour basis.

Law enforcement resources have been deployed to both support the right of citizens to demonstrate their First Amendment freedoms and also to mitigate threats to public safety.

WHAT CAN YOU DO? Law enforcement cannot dismiss the possibility of lone actors. We ask you to report any information, social media postings or observations concerning conduct that could endanger the community by dialing 9-1-1.

Please be assured that, in the event of unrest, our top priority is the safety of residents and visitors and protection of your family, your home and your business.

Manifestaciones de Inauguración Presidencial

El Departamento de Policía de Annapolis, el Departamento de Bomberos de Annapolis y la Oficina de Manejo de Emergencias están coordinando con las agencias de policía  locales, estatales y federales para garantizar la seguridad pública en caso de manifestaciones en o cerca de la capital del estado de Maryland entre el 17 y el 20 de enero.

ANTECEDENTES: En este momento (13/1/21), no existen indicios  de amenaza específicos en Annapolis o el condado de Anne Arundel. La inteligencia se comparte abiertamente entre las agencias de toda la región las 24 horas del día.

Se han desplegado recursos para hacer cumplir la ley para apoyar el derecho de los ciudadanos a demostrar sus libertades en la Primera Enmienda y también para mitigar las amenazas a la seguridad pública.

QUÉ ES LO QUE USTED PUEDE HACER? La aplicación de la ley no puede descartar la posibilidad de persona que actúan por su cuenta.
