Office of Emergency Management

Current Preparedness Focus

Winter Storm Season runs from December 1st through March 31st.

Generally, the City of Annapolis is only faced with moderate snowfall and may go several years with little measurable snow, only to be followed by a single heavy or extremely heavy snowfall. Many winter storms are accompanied by low temperatures and sometimes, strong winds, ice, sleet, and freezing rain. Severe winter weather has the potential to knock out heat, power, and communications services to your home or office, sometimes for days.
