COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

COVID-19 is a disease caused by a respiratory virus first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China in December 2019. COVID-19 is a new virus that hasn’t caused illness in humans before. Worldwide, COVID-19 has resulted in thousands of infections, causing illness and in some cases death. Cases have spread to countries throughout the world, with more cases reported daily.

FREE COVID-19 Testing in the City

Every week, OEM and the Anne Arundel County Dept. of Health host walk-up testing sites across the City. For more information on testing or to get help finding a local testing site, call OEM at 410-216-9167. 

The next testing site will be on Monday, November 2nd, 2020 at the Boys and Girls Club of Annapolis located at 121 S Villa Ave, Annapolis, MD 21401 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

  • Testing is free and safe for all ages
  • Results available through online patient portal 
  • No appointments
  • No doctor’s referral or insurance are required at our sites
  • Limited testing kits available; first come, first serve

The Annapolis Call Center is activated Sunday-Saturday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. to answer non-emergency inquiries from the public.The Call Center number is 410-260-2211.

Alert Annapolis

Alert Annapolis will deliver customized general or emergency messages directly to homes, businesses, individuals’ cell phones or answering machines via text message, e-mail or phone call. This system will allow the City of Annapolis to reach Annapolitans, visitors, and employees, regardless of their location within the City, and provide actionable information.
