St. Patrick’s Parade is Sunday, March 10

Street Closures Begin at 1 p.m.

Annapolis, MD (March 5, 2019) – The City’s biggest parade of the year – the Annapolis St. Patrick’s Parade – will take place on Sunday, March 10 beginning at 1 p.m. starting at Amos Garrett Blvd. and West Street. The parade includes more than 100 entrants and is expected to draw up to 7,000 people to Annapolis.

“This is a highlight for everyone who participates or watches,” Mayor Gavin Buckley said. “People from around the world are in the parade and families come from all over the area to line our city streets and take it all in – the fire trucks, the Irish dancers, the fife and drum corps, the marching bands, the floats. It’s wonderful.”

The parade will begin near Park Place, with parade participants lining up on Amos Garrett Blvd. From there, the parade will travel down West Street to Church Circle, go around the circle to Main Street, continue down Main Street, and end at City Dock.

Streets along the parade route will close at 1 p.m. and are expected to remain closed until approximately 3 p.m.

The seventh annual St. Patrick’s parade is sponsored by Naptown Events, which is sponsoring shuttles from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium to the staging area (near Maryland Hall) for parade participants and to the downtown area for parade watchers. For more information on the parade, visit www.naptownevents.com.

After the parade, spend time downtown to enjoy shops and eat at local restaurants. They’ll be open.

The City of Annapolis would like to remind you to please consume alcohol responsibly.
