County Executive Pittman to Accept Mayor Buckley’s Triathalon “Throw Down” at City Dock on Wednesday 


On Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 11 a.m., County Executive Steuart Pittman will come to City Dock to accept a challenge from Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley for bragging rights in the second Annual Sailor’s Triathalon, which will take place on Saturday, July 27 from 6 to 9 a.m.

The course, which will include a 500-meter swim in the Annapolis Harbor, a 10.5 mile bicycle ride through the Annapolis Historic District, over Naval Academy Bridge into Anne Arundel County, then back to Navy Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, with a 6K foot race from the Stadium to City Dock and back.

“This competition starts and ends inside City limits,” Buckley said. “Need I say more?”
