Now available for businesses and property owners that would like to install sprinkler systems in their buildings, the Sprinkler Assistance Revolving Fund has been established to encourage the installation of sprinklers in older buildings throughout the city to increase the safety of residents, to minimize damage resulting from fire, and to allow greater utilization of currently vacant or underutilized space. The program will operate by making low cost loans to developers or property owners of older buildings that do not currently have sprinkler systems installed at the time of application. The city’s Sprinkler Loan Fund is now ready to offer 1% interest loans for such. The Sprinkler Cost Assistance Program (loan application) and Sprinkler Assistance Revolving Fund Loan Agreement can be found here.
