Annapolis Restaurant Week


This is one of the best weeks of the year to dine out in Annapolis. 45 restaurants are participating this year with 9 days of great dining options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Maryland Day Weekend 


Maryland Day 2019 Weekend Celebration in Annapolis, London Town, and southern Anne Arundel County will take place March 29-31. All events are free or just $1. A great weekend of family friendly events for everyone to enjoy as you celebrate Maryland's birthday while experiencing the local history, culture and heritage of our region


Attend the Anne Arundel Future Workforce Fair


Are you a business owner who has immediate employment opportunities? Do you want to develop your workforce pipeline? Then attend this Anne Arundel Future Workforce Fair put on by Anne Arundel Economic Development and Anne Arundel County Public School System. The event will introduce you to local programs that train and certify workers who are ready for placement whether as an employee, intern or apprentice. March 12, 8:00-10:00 am, 100 Community Place, Crownsville, MD.

Annapolis St. Patrick’s Parade 


The Annapolis St. Patrick’s Parade is an effort to bring a family fun event to the West Street and downtown areas of Annapolis. The parade will will be held on Sunday, March 10, beginning at 1:00 pm. 


Urban Land Institute Technical Assistance Panel Report 


Historic Annapolis, in partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation and Preservation Maryland, recently hosted an Urban Land Institute Technical Assistance Panel (ULI TAP).  The TAP also engaged the public with a town hall forum, and then culminated in a public presentation to share the Panel's recommendations for reinvigorating Annapolis's City Dock in a preservation-based context. 2019 Annual Reports/Personal Property Tax Returns Now Available 


The 2019 Annual Reports and/or Personal Property Tax Returns are now available from the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation. The quickest and easiest way to submit these filings is through the department’s award-winning Maryland Business Express site.

Sidewalk and Curb Replacement Program 


The Central Purchasing Office of the City of Annapolis is accepting sealed bids for construction services until 2:00 p.m., local time, Tuesday, March 12, 2019. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of sidewalks, incidental curb removal, replacement and adjustment to granite curbs, and related site improvement on various streets within the City of Annapolis.

City of Annapolis Paving Program 


The Central Purchasing Office of the City of Annapolis is accepting sealed bids for repair, reconstruction and resurfacing of various streets until 2:00 p.m., local time, Wednesday, March 13, 2019. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the curb and gutter installation, and street repair, reconstruction, excavation, grading, milling, patching and related site improvement on various streets within the City of Annapolis.

Annapolis Police Call Center Workspace Replacement 


The Central Purchasing Office of the City of Annapolis is accepting sealed proposals for services to replace furniture until 2:00 p.m., local time, Thursday, March 21, 2019. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing and installing furniture, carpet and related improvements in the Annapolis Police Call Center.

Park & Shop Program 

Visitors to Annapolis can enjoy up to four hours of parking free in downtown Annapolis. Park in any of the city-owned garages (Noah Hillman, Gotts Court, Knighton or Park Place), then look for the Park & Shop logo at your downtown business, or ask if they participate in the Park & Shop Program. Participating businesses can provide you with a coupon to cover one hour of free parking (most require in-store purchase). You can collect up to four.

Interested in participating in this program? Business owners can get their validation tickets at reduced rates by contacting 
SP+, parking management firm for the City of Annapolis, at annapolisparking@spplus.com or (443) 648-3087. You may also visit the SP+ office, located at 60 West Street, Suite 106, from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.
